Théâtre Saint-Lô > "Mort d'une montagne"

Join us on January 21 at 8:30 pm at the Saint-Lô theater for the show "Mort d'une montagne" (Death of a mountain) with the "Le chant des pistes" company.

We are in the imaginary Hautes Aigues massif. The panorama of a profoundly altered landscape unfolds before our eyes, where the eternal peaks are revealed as the new climatic sentinels.
The village of Rochebrune is on the alert for landslides on the neighboring peaks. In the front line are Fanny, the janitor of the Vautour refuge, and her two brothers, whose backgrounds are at odds with each other. At the same time, a mountaineer arrives, determined to climb the region?s major peak, the Grande Reine?
Mort d?une montagne is a documented chronicle that turns mythical. Both concrete and poetic, this slow ascent unfolds the image of humanity perched on its promontory, on the edge of a precipice?
In favor of a simple, straightforward theatrical form, director Jérôme Cochet and his collaborator, author François Hien, wrote this four-hander while hiking in the Alps. To enrich and test the story, they presented each episode to local residents during artist residencies in the Belledonne and Oisans massifs.
