Highlighting research in our region with the people behind it: the Algaïa company, the Greyc of the IUT Grand Ouest Normandie in Saint-Lô, the Enil of Saint-Lô Thère, the Pavillon des énergies and the Fablab of Saint-Lô Agglo.
Visits and conferences on a variety of topical themes: algae, agri-food, Artificial Intelligence (AI) and the challenges of ecological transition.

LE GREYC, discovering artificial intelligence.
The Saint-Lô branch of the GREYC laboratory, a CNRS joint research unit, specializes in research into AI, digital investigation and biometrics. It will be welcoming high school classes and the general public for visits and workshops on the theme of artificial intelligence and face recognition and manipulation. There will also be a conference for the general public on the role of artificial intelligence in deepfakes (false information).

During this conference-debate on the theme of the proliferation of fake videos on networks, we'll see how AI can be used as a tool to help detect authentic videos, and what precautions to take to avoid being influenced by the content of fake videos.

L?ENIL DE SAINT-LÔ THÈRE, discover the world of food processing.
The ENIL de Saint-Lô THère is offering 1h30 tours of its technology workshop to discover the processes involved in making cheese, yoghurt, apple juice and other products sold under the school?s "Les Enfants Thèribles" brand. An opportunity to discover the analysis laboratories and food processing facilities.

LE FABLAB DE SAINT-LÔ AGGLO, recycling seaside waste.
On Monday October 7 and Tuesday October 8, the Saint-Lô Agglo Fablab will be offering schoolchildren and the general public a tour of the fablab and workshops on how to recycle seaside waste such as plastic bottles, driftwood and fishing nets.

The public will discover how to extrude plastic bottles to create filaments for 3D printers, use a loom to transform fishing net ropes into woven rugs and create decorative objects from driftwood.

LE PAVILLON DES ÉNERGIES and the call for projects.
"Mon collège d'aujourd'hui et de demain".
In partnership with Asso V?lo, Graines de Partage and CAUE de la Manche, the Pavillon des Energies is launching a call for projects entitled "Mon collège d?aujourd?hui et de demain", aimed at 5th and 4th grade classes and eco-delegates.

Over the course of one day, on Thursday October 10, students will be invited to discuss and come up with proposals for adapting and improving their school to meet the major challenges we face. Working in groups on the basis of work carried out in the run-up to the day, classes will be asked to come up with solutions and actions to be implemented in the short, medium and long term.
